Ivory Butter Frosting

The perfect frosting for Red Velvet Cupcakes…

Ingredients:

1 C Sugar
1 C Milk
1 C Butter
3 T Flour
1 t Vanilla extract

Combine flour & milk to make a smooth paste. Cook over double boiler, stirring until mixture thickens into a custard (4-5 min)

Remove from heat and cover to prevent a top film, set aside to cool.

Cream butter, sugar & vanilla together and combine with the custard. Beat well.
